    Default Vintage strop

I recently picked this strop up at a vintage/surplus shop. Gave it some attention with a leather cleaner/conditioner. I just bought a Dovo Best Quality 5/8 with blond scales off Straight Razor Designs and I don't want to ruin this razor on a strop that isn't up to snuff. Here are a few pictures I took of the strop. One other question, how supple/soft should the leather be? Thanks, this forum is great, everyone has been very accommodating!

Strop looks like it's in nice condition and obviously it was used a lot by someone. I would give it a go on the razor. Take it easy on the strop and it should last you forever. Try hand rubbing it till your palm is warm before stropping.

    Have fun,

    Lynn
