Thanked: 125Kanayama Strap
Well, I just treated myself to a high end strap for personal use!
I purchased the #60000 from JimR at Kanayama Cordovan Strops
At 4mm thick (~.15"), and 66cm long (~26") It is a great size.
I have heard great things about the kanayama cordovan leather, and eagerly await its arrival from JimR. I already own a linen component which I attached to my vintage shell strap, and the linen is simply fantastic. I really love it. Very stiff, and seems to put a great finished edge on my shavers.
I will post my thoughts here when the leather arrives, in the meantime, post yours if you have used!

Matt,
That's great! When my tax check arrives, I'm planning on treating myself to a Kanayama strop.
Enjoy it!

Thanked: 4942I have the 10000, 30000 and 90000 Kanayama's and they are really nice strops. I mostly just look at the 90000. and Took very little time to break in the 10 and 30 they do perform very nicely. My only problem is that I am so spoiled now on the 3 inch width that these mainly hang out in my closet with the vintage strops. I also think you will love the strop.

Breaking in the leather was no problem, you have to look out for little knots in the yarn of the fabric part of the strop. I had to push a few back to the other side with a pin.
