    Default Bulgarian NOS strop

I got this strop off the bay a while ago. I had forgotton that I even bought it.

I have no idea what the leather is made of? The linen and leather are both very nice and of good quality.

My friend Gugi was able to translate the typed note for me
"barber's strop with metal handle no.1170. manuf.: Georgi Pan. Boyadjiev (name of a person) Sofia, N. Slavkov St. No 10 (address)"

The lady I bought it from refused to open up the paper that it was in, and that was understandable because of the value going down if it was open. The strop is in excellent condition since it was wrapped up in its original packaging. The only thing she told me was that she estimates the time around 1920.

    thanks benjamin,

I played around with it a little more and I think it to be cowhide similar to the Filly strop. It evens has that Suede like texture on the back. Not 100 percent sure, but I really like the strop.
