Need help with a new strop.
Hello all,
I have a "straight razor on a stick", it's a C.V. Heljestrand 7-day set safety razor with a stropping device. The strop is full of nicks and cuts and it's also very dry and beginning to crack in some areas. What I'm asking is, if there are someone that makes strops that can make one for my stropping device? The measurements are seen in the pictures, it's in the metric system, so for you who doesn't know that system, I'm sorry. However I would like it to be modified a bit, I want it to be 48mm wide instead of 45mm as it is today, you'll understand why when you see the picture with the strop in the device. The thickness of the strop is 3mm.
So if you can help me I would appreciate it very much.
Kind regards
Roger.Last edited by furir; 04-03-2010 at 09:21 AM.

Very nice set you have indeed.
How about asking from some leather shop/artisan workshop or shoemaker for a replacement strop. I'm not sure about Örebro (been few years since i visited there) but i'm sure you have these places at least in the bigger cities. Heck, i'm sure you must have shoemakers in Örebro.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
