    Default Boker razor stop

Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm very interested. If anyone has used one, how fine is the slate(approximately), does it do a good job, and how nice is the leather? I'd hate to spend that much for something that only the leather part is worth using.

I got it. I use it for travel.
The slate feels like my C12k.
The leather is ok, but not in the same league as my Tony Miller strop.

I would not use it as my only set-up, but for travel it is just dandy.

    Default Too much

I think it is too much money for what you are getting.

I have the Dovo 4 sided that I paid $10 less for but if I had it to do over again now. I would opt for the SRD modular paddle. The felt can be sprayed with the diamond spray and coat one with Chromium oxide.

That's what I'm looking at it for. Have you used the slate side to polish a razor and if so, how did it do?

I've used it for touch-up (sitting in an hotelroom in Barcelona) it works OK. It is a little small for my taste, but there are pros and cons to that too. How often do you need to do touch up when you're on the road anyway, but with this one you have the option if you have to.

I'm retired from the Army and want to live near a base. I'm going to be spending about two to three weeks vacating near pretty much every major Army base there is in the US at a rate of maybe two to four per year until my wife and I find the perfect one. I'm sure there will come a time when I'll have to touch a razor up while away from home. Thanks for the input everyone.
