    Default First Strop and repair

Like everyone stated, you will damage your first strop. I had this one almost 3 months before I gave it a really good slice. Since it was about 80 bucks I did not want to just throw it away.
I did some reading and then attempted the repair. I used contact cement and instead of a glass or metal object to roll it, I used a large barrel shaped candle thinking the wax would not stick. After fixing the slice, I took the stop apart and reversed the leather so the cut was on the far side of the strop.

I only wish I could fix the slice on m face as easily.

    Here is the result.

Nicely done, looks like that's gonna be doing a lot of stropping yet

Good repair! I certainly sliced my first strop up pretty good, and it must have at least a dozen or so repairs on it and its still going strong.
