Thread: Jemico, DOVO, Kohl Strops...they're the same thing, right???

I just want to clear this up. Dovo strops appear to be *identical* to Jemico and Kohl strops, just with the respective brand name stamped somewhere.

So, when you pay the 100-odd extra bucks for the Dovo strop, you are actually paying extra only for the name, and nothing else...right???

I've wondered the same thing, though I never actually took a hard look at comparing them.

Just for the record, Dovo strops shouldn't be that much more expensive. I know some places have more of a mark-up on them than others, but they can be found for reasonable prices (e.g. here).
