Those are awesome pixel! I may try my hand at making one of these. If anyone has plans or the time to post how to make one of these, we would love you forever!

Thank you,I have another in the works and will take pics of the main componants as I go along.
The main issue with making them as I do is everything needs to be done in a precision manner to get all fitted and lined up properly.
It takes me at least two full days to cut, bore, turn and polish the wood componants,Than another day to get all fitted in place, but thats just me.Others I am sure can come up with a more efficiant plan.

The opposit end,the coupler allows at least anouther 1.25 in of adjustment to compensate for any leather stretch, which if the tension is removed by slacking off the belt when not in use will never be an issue.

This is how I finish off the splice, the ends are skived with a leather skiving tool than sanded on a belt sander,Have found That polyurethane makes a super strong bond.
Just for grins I add two SS screws and domed washers.

I have bought small Dovo/Puma, type 1 inch, loom strops in antique stores and flea markets, for 2-5 dollars. You can take them apart to see how the parts work together, and then scale it to your needs or materials
