SRP Modular Paddle Strop
After a couple of false starts I received mySRP Modular Paddle Strop today. I found it easier to strop my razors with it than the hanging strop. Newbies ought to look at paddle strops to "hone"
their stropping technique. Anyway it is a quality piece and now i like the idea of being able to replace my stropping media.

I have not been SR shopping for a bit so this mention is the first I've seen of that modular paddle strop. I think the whole concept of that paddle is pure genius. Good work SRD.

Just received mine as well, along with a .50 crox, and a .25 diamond spray, for the two felt pads. Really looking forward to adding this option to my regular linen/leather stropping, and this should make an exceptional travel strop as well.

The good thing about the paddle is that it makes the stropping surface perfectly flat, so you can concentrate on your stropping technique, as opposed to trying to hold a hanging strop taught, and strop, and learn, all at the same time. It almost forces the user to employ correct stropping technique, which makes it great for those learning to strop.
Interestingly, from memory, I think the paddle strop was created with resto activities in mind, but it really does have more uses than that.
IMHO, the SRD paddle strop is probably the most innovative straight razor related tool I have seen in recent times.

It's reassuring to hear so many good comments about the modular strop because I ordered one yesterday to use as a travel strop for an upcoming trip... I hope it is as good as it sounds!!

When would you use the rough leather. I can't believe how much better i can strop with it. I get the right sound and everything.

Love this strop. I got one on release and it does a wonderful job. So many variations available to suit your needs. I just got some of the new CrOx spray today and have been saving a felt pad for just that purpose. Very innovative.
