Where can i buy this
I was wondering where can I buy green chrome oxide powder?
What kind of store should I think?
Mean you can buy the stuff in tubes,
but I have sometimes seen those bags with green powder inside. think is cheaper than a tube. And how can you mix it?

Thanked: 488You generally mix it with mineral oil in a very conservative amount. Once mixed you can apply it to a piece of leather or linen. After applying I make sure to rub it in good while wearing rubber surgical gloves (non powdered) although some use a cotton cloth whatever works for you. The last step is let it dry before using which can take a couple of days.
If you find you have a thin spot you can always go back and apply more.

+1 on the previous advice.
You can purchase cromium oxide from one or two of the vendors--SRD and Vintage Blades--who advertise here at SRP on a regular basis. Its more of a paste than a powder, however.

Chrome Oxy is commonly used in the lapidary industry and can be found in jewelry supply stores in blocks some very large but don't buy those because they contain alot of other stuff you don't want. Only buy from someone who is selling the pure stuff for straight use which is more difficult to come by. I think SRD sells it and we used to have someone selling it on the site.

Thanked: 488It works very well on webbing and linen. Diamond spray works especially well on heavy felt that SRD sells. I won one of these felt strops when they first came out at our mid Missouri meet along with the diamond spray and I still use it often especially on larger near wedge razors. Just an idea for an alternative for you.

I have to mention this.
Please be careful when you buy chr02.
if i am not mistaken long time ago some srp members were buying another places cheap option and they end up being a lot higher grit then suppose to be.
Make your search and buy from people who is selling straight razors or similar product.
they will most likely have right chr02.

Thank you all. I think the easy way and go to one of the sellers buy a spray or a paste.
I did not discover these spray bottles in the Netherlands.
Here they only sell tubes of 5ml for the price of $ 8.16, find it quite pricey.
What's better, the Diamond Spray or Chromium Oxide. Want to use this to some of my razors give a touchup.

That is good advise. Only get things from those that actually deal with straight razors. I am planning on getting mine from SRD because this is where I got my razor and strop from. I think for some things it is best to stick with one vendor and venture out with other vender's on other things, at least until you become trusting of the others.
