Stropping on fabric and newsprint?
Has anyone tried stropping on fabric and newsprint only before shaving? I've got to travel this week over a couple of days, and I don't have a leather strop in a travel size. My SRD 3" is too long for the suitcase, and unshipping the handles is a pain. But I do have a short linen strop that fits just fine. What about using newsprint instead of the leather for a couple of days?

I have skipped the leather before and just used newspaper, works great! It takes more laps on paper than it does on leather, I would try 100-200 laps on a very 'inky' sheet of non glossy newspaper.
Let us know how it works out!

I use the Sunday funnys at work. More ink per square inch. And like above more passes but it does work great.
