Default Is there a cure to prevent dye transfer to blade?

I have a new SRD black latigo strop that is putting dye on my blade when stropping. How can I prevent this?

Probably one additional lap in the canvas/linen/nylon side would probably remove it. Odds are that this transfer will be not occur for very long. It's pretty common for this to happen with new strops.

Take a nice soft cloth and wipe the excess dye off of the strop.

A little saddle soap couldn't hurt.
