Hello Friends.
It's nearing Christmas time and I'm starting to put my wish list together so the old lady doesn't have to guess at what to buy. I've read the last few months of posts here and the wiki - but I still have a few questions. I know that a lot of this deals with personal preference - but I've only been doing this since Feb10 so I don't have a lot of preference yet.

1) I want to start using pastes/sprays. I am leaning towards the modular paddle strop from SRD. I like the Thiers Issard paddle but it's not modular and I'd rather support SRD. I've read up on diamond sprays and pastes ad nauseum and still don't have a clear understanding of the pros/cons. To be clear I need a solution that I'm less likely to screw up I have a Premium II with the default canvas 2nd strop - I haven't added anything to either of them and I want to keep it that way. From what I've read I need to apply 1M diamond spray to one felt pad, and .5M diamond spray to the 2nd felt pad. I have a light beard and sensitive skin, so I'm going to avoid the .25 spray for now. Where I get confused is the rough and smooth leather sides. I know that I want to incorporate CrOx, but IMHO it seems that the CrOx paste on the rough leather would NOT give me adequate/complete/even contact to the razor. Am I overthinking this?

2) Diamond Spray or Paste? It seems that the spray would give better, and more consistent coverage on the felt pads but it also seems that the sprays are still kind of new...anyone have an opinion?

3) I love my Premium II...but i would like to slow it down a bit and it seems that Neatsfoot Oil is the way to go. I've read that the best/safest bet is to apply small amounts evenly to the backside of the strop and allow it to penetrate the leather over several days to weeks. Is this a good idea? i don't really want to soak the strop, I just want to increase the draw a bit.

Thanks for all the help!!!!
