Holy-crap!
what the heck kind of razor is that, and.... wow. talk about honing technique! seems rather rough on the razor, slapping it on the stone and hide, and palm. but heck, it works!
and heck, now i want a loom-strop.

guess that honing video really shows how you can get a shaving edge in a bunch of different ways.
YMMV
:beer2:
how do you adjust the tension on the loom? do you have to loosen/tighten those two nuts between the strop and the handle? Or, can you just twist the handle?
Loosening the two nuts seems like a PITA.
How do you adjust tension? I read posts that guys loosen these before putting them to bed and I had images of wrenches...
But, just a turn of the handle will adjust tension. Simple. J
Yes, turn the handle .... clockwise to tighten and counter clockwise to loosen .... just like a wine bottle. :D
I would like to get a replacement leather/canvas.
I've kinda turned my leather green, never thought of just cleaning it with a towel between the chrome and leather strokes Duh!
How would I get a price/order a replacement.

I wonder what happened to that snake razor? Does anyone on here own it now?
Does anybody else feel like a complete tool every time they watch that video? I don't think anyone can question that this man knows what he's doing, yet a HUGE portion of what he does in that video is contrary to what most folks around here (including me) do, and he honed that razor in about 1/8 the time I could hone a razor on my best day.
No not at all. Like I always say, some folks develop their own way to do things that may seem 180 degrees out from the norm and they get superior results. Remember they (in this case Livi) have been doing this probably for many, many years. I wouldn't recommend you try it.
