    Question Help a n00b with stropping compound questions

    Hey, folks. I have a question about using the Flexcut gold/yellow compound paste to begin the finishing of a blade. I have a layer of denim secured to a 2x4 that I was going to treat with a coating of the gold compound, but I've never done this before. Any special tricks or tips to get the best results? Any particular techniques to load the fabric? Any suggestions on how dense to layer the compound? Anything would be appreciated.
