Thread: Condition a strop with soap?

If I were to use soap, it would be something like MWF.

I'd be afraid to. I keep my strops near the sink and my wife would splash some water on them and I'd have bubbles being generated off them-har har.

Personally I don't like saddle soap. The stuff was formulated long ago for very thick hard leathers like...err...a saddle. I won't allow water to touch any quality leather unless it's made for it and strops aren't.
