Chromium Oxide and Mineral Oil
Hello All,
I was wondering if anything else can be used to make a Chromium Oxide paste besides mineral oil? I will be trying one on balsa wood and another on leather. Can one use baby oil?
Thanks.Testing

Thanked: 2591Baby oil is scented mineral oil.
You can use neats foot oil, lexol, and probably other oils that are suitable for strop treatment.Stefan

I use baby oil. In Australia food grade mineral oil (which is sold as a laxative) is also called liquid parrafin, so it might be worth looking in a chemist for that.
