That's likely the going rate. I was surprised by strop prices when I began as well. Seems like the 60-100 is "normal" strop prices, and since you're looking for a specific kind I'd image 80-100 is about right.
Don't know which ones you've already found the only one I know of off hand is the Thiers-Issard 2 side box strop.

First off, I was out of place by not welcoming to you to SRP in my earlier post. You're going to have too much fun spending too much time learning and "playing" with razors.
The question about pastes on strops is a big question that covers a wide wide area.
So, pull up a chair this evening when you've a little time and start in on here:Straight Razor Place Wiki
It's what we call the "Wiki" around here, and there's no good way to cover that much ground quickly.
If you forced me into an answer I'd say "no" not everyone uses pastes, but nearly everyone does...just not all the time. See, that really cleared things up didn't it?Last edited by Soilarch; 01-10-2011 at 07:19 PM.

Thanked: 2209The leather strop you use everyday just before shaving does not have any abrasive paste applied to it.
Abrasive pastes are applied to a seperate leather/felt/balsa and only used when the edge starts to degrade and pull a bit when you shave.
Hope this helps,Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin
