Thanked: 1263I would think it would be no different than any aluminum polish like mothers. Any polish is going to have some type of grit to it...otherwise its just lubricant.

Thanked: 0Yeah but that grit size was .05 micron. That's one-tenth the size of some of the chromium dioxide powders sold.

Unless you're talking some real ultra high performance specialty application I don't think a higher polish would make a difference in a car axle. I f you're thinking about using it on a straight...well...you don't even know what the stuff is.

Thanked: 0This is axle polish for model cars. I didn't realize the ad didn't say what the product is, it's magnesium oxide.

Thanked: 3164I feel sorry for the poor monkeys - apparently it takes up to two full-size ones to make one little pot...

Hmmmmmm... It could be a pretty good compound for polishing anything metal... Like a razor... I may just have to try it...

Magnesium ain't very hard stuff so I'm not sure if it would do anything special over even plain jane jewelers rouge. Of course that's just a guess.
