Thread: fromm strops

wondering what everyones thoughts are on fromm strops. cause i am looking for something for under 50$

I like them. Been using Illinois Razor Strop Co (Fromm) strops for as long as I've been using a straight. They've been making strops since 1906. At one time they made cordovan shell strops under their brand, as well as re-branded strops. The strops they produce today are still good. I prefer the #361. The others with the black sewn on handles (#827 Russia, #127 cowhide) are also good, but with every one that I've owned, the handles have cracked and torn off after a few years of use. The #361 doesn't have those handles.
