Thread: Unraveling of cotton

Hi,

I have this old strop belonging to my GGF.

Though the linen had a little cut in it near the edge, no big deal or nothing I cared about.
The problem is that it's starting to unravel more.
I was just wondering if there is anyway I could fortify the edges to prevent further unraveling? and to protect the unraveled piece?
Is there anybody who has any experience or thoughts?
Any input is welcome,
