Where to get linen strips?
Hi,
Can you recommend me any place that I can find linen blanks for a custom strop?
I found this site (in Turkey but well photographed so maybe you can tell me if they would do)

I certainly don't know any of the words on that site, (OK, I did know Linen!), but the linen looked fine to me. I suggest checking the thickness of whatever style/color you choose and make sure it's at least 2-3mm thick. That thickness will provide a sturdy stropping surface. If you don't find what you want PM me and I might have what you need.

Linen is made from two totally different sources. The first is Flax this makes a very fine material. The second is made from Hemp, this produces what is commonly known as Canvas. Most Linen Strops that I know of are made of Canvas.
This is a link to here in the States. I would go with the bleached . I was going to make a strop for myself, but found a very nice vintage strop with both leather and canvas.
I hope this helps!

Also the term linen seems to have a general usage as opposed to the actual linen fabric. I know TM has sold canvas and linen strops and I have both and they are quite different.
