    a newspaper is a great strop it will actually act like an extremly high grit hone and strop all in one. take a pencil and scribble on the section you are gonna strop on for a wee bit of added grit.

    I've got a piece of leather that i turned into a strop but its been a bit neglected because of my other strops.

    Now with a new one coming in i wont use it for sure, so its yours if you want it. Just send me a pm

    What do you have to lose? The unusable strop will still be unuseable? I will post a picture of my expensive english bridle and the damage I have done to it.
