Thread: Premier Strop Company

Howdy all,

I was doing some stropping today and noticed something a little interesting on my strop.

I got my strop as a present when i first started shaving, i always thought that the strop was a srd strop.
But when i looked at it today i saw that the strop stamp said Premier strop company on it instead of having the srd stamp.

Now im not sure where the strop was bought but i dont think it was actually from srd. Looking on the internet i can only find this strop at one online retailer and no other info.

Does anyone else have any experience with this strop? Or any info about it?

I asked Lynn about this last year. They are one and the same--same strop, different stamp. In other words, you've got a great strop regardless of which stamp it has.

I figured they must have been the same they look too much alike to not be. Possibly it was the old name they produced them under?

Of course you would get the best answer from Lynn, but I think they were selling their strops through other vendors and used the Premier name for those. Given the apparent success of SRD, I don't know if they still are or not. I just wanted to assure you that the quality of the strop itself is identical.
But the SRD ones are better!
