Are the Tony Miller practice strops identical to the regular ones?

When I got mine some time back he was making them with pieces of leather that he considered of not high enough quality to use for his normal product line. Still a very functional little strop though. No handle and a leather string to attach to a door handle or what ever.

    I used to have one.
No they are not the same. They are meant for practice.
I don't know if they are suitable for actual use but I don't think they would harm a razor.

The practice strops should be stamped with a small X on the face some place so they are not later resold as something other than what they were. These were made from less than perfect leather. They will work and they will strop a razor but are not the same leather as what I used on my good strops. These were either freebies or later sold for $8.00 to cover my time.

I did also make some basic strops from my good leather. These will have my logo on it and have more detailed construction and finishing. These were Apprentice or Starter/beginner strops and sold for $20 to $30.

Neither is available any longer so I am not advertising here, just clarifying a question.
