What's this about a pumice stone?
So I ordered the paladin from ruprazor (fantastic strop btw) and it came with a pumice stone and this note about using it on the leather. I was wondering if anyone could give me the technical answers to these questions:
What does this do to the strop and why does it need it?
How does this affect the blade and the shave?
When do I know when I need to use the pumice stone?

Thanked: 2591The stone does in a sense lap the stop when the surface is damaged.
After you use the pumice stone, rub the surface with palm, or some neats foot oil and then you will be ready to go.
The pumice stone surface conditioning will not affect the stropping and edge.Stefan

It's basically the same as using sandpaper. Depending on how fine the stone is it can be compared to a similar paper.
