Thread: Poor Man Strop draw??

For what it's worth I too started with a poor man's and liked it very much. After about a month or so (once I stopped nicking my PMS), I ordered a SRD Latigo in 3" (along with my shiny new Dovo Forestal). The Latigo is beautiful and I like it so far BUT: the draw is much heavier than my PMS and I am finding that it is taking an adjustment to get used to the Latigo. In fact, I finished on my PMS yesterday to get the edge finished. I am assuming that this is just a break in period on the Latigo... If you like the draw on the PMS though I would go for one of the "faster" leathers as others have suggested. Oh, and I nicked my SRD this morning lol (very lightly, call it marking my territory!)

One more thing, if I had it to do over again, I would not have gotten the standard second material- it seems too rough to me. YMMV and I am new too so take it for what it's worth.
