I have a small balsa strop I put Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound on & I use it when renewing an edge. Also good for getting stains off blades & sticker / tape residue. Don't use it all the time but it's a great tool to have when you need it.

WD40 on a paper towel, removes tape residue quickly. I find if your tape is leaving a residue it is because it is old or has been exposed to high heat, like in a tool box or in a vehicle.

I just buy several rolls when I buy and if a roll begins to break down, toss it.

    Hello to All,

For those that wish to try rouge, it would be best to use the optical grades (e.g. Willmann-Bell Telescope Making Supplies)

    Have fun

    Best regards

    Russ
