Default Question about an "old War Horse" strop

I picked this up at a flea market for 10 bucks, its in decent shape, no nicks or gouges. It has a pic of a horse and rider and Old War Horse under that at the top, at the bottom it says Realedge made in USA. Can anyone help me out on the maker? I cant find anything online about it, also the worth of it, the GF was mad I spent money on a "piece of crap" her words.

I can post some pics later if needed.

    Thanks

We don't do appraisals of value on SRP. Primarily because they are a matter of opinion. If the strop is in good shape and the leather is still supple and smooth it ought to be well worth what you paid for it. If it has a linen component along with the leather all the better. Welcome to SRP.

Back in the day strops were made by the gazillions and most were made for resale by barbershops and hardware stores and razor manufacturers. Some have the maker on them but most don't. Unless you encounter a strop collector who has knowledge about that model name or reseller you'll never know who made it.
