Quality for pasted strop
So does a pasted strop (Diamond cRoX etc) need to be a decent quality leather? or will pretty much any hide do?
I have a "Strop" that I got off eBay and it's VERY cheap quality (leather feels like cardboard etc) it's useless as an actual razor strop but I was wondering if it would be useable for pastes?
Thanks

Well, a pasted strop is not loaded up with paste so parts of the leather will still come into contact with the razor so you want something of decent quality. it doesn't have to be primo but still smooth and supple free of defects.
