    Default Jemico re-branded?

I have been keeping an eye on this e bay vendor for a while, some of his badger brushes have had excellent reviews on our UK site The Shaving Room, I noticed today that he sells strops this one FS #3 100% Leather Stright Razor Sharpening Strop Strap Belt Double Side | eBay looks very similar to a Jemico strop, I am wondering if in fact it is Jemico re- branded?

I thought the same. Looks identical to the stitching, leather and style of the Jemico and Dovo. Smoking deal if it is!

That strop is clearly marked "China". It's not a Jemico. Whether it's a quality piece or not, that's another story.

Might be worth taking a chance on . The cloth component of the Chinese strop is cotton . I believe Jemico uses linen ( at least the one I had was linen ) . To the best of my knowledge , Jemico strops are still made in Germany , not China .

Yep. I just got a new Jemico loom strop, and it says "Made in Germany" both on the strop itself and on the box.
