Thread: Bridge strop

Yes, I have one and I love it, I've bought this strop around one month ago until Christmas time from an italian guys that he make himself, is sober and spartan, but guys the leather that is mounted on is something of special which give you a wonderful sensation when take your shave. He has told me that he make a treatment for 24 hours with a vegeteable matter on the leather and you really enjoy whe you strop your razor on it.

I was thinking that the thing would use a leather strop like that set up, but without the leather glued to the thin wood on top. In other words would use just a piece of leather 3" wide only, stretched and screwed or in to wood on each end. That way you would get more feel while stropping! Would'nt just a piece of leather strop on table top be just as equal?
