    Default Crox paste drying up

My squeeze bottle of Handamerican chromium oxide semi paste is drying up. Anyone know how to reconstitute the stuff? The label says it's detergent based, but that could mean anything!

Also, should I let the paste dry on the balsa before using? Stropping while wet seems wrong -- drags and pulls something awful.

I have the powdered form of HandAmerican, which I mixed into liquid form with mineral oil. It seems to be a good substrate, you could try a test sample to see if it will work.

And yes, I would let the chrome ox dry/settle before use. Spread it on sparingly as it doesn't take much to be effective. 24 hours would probably be more than adequate.

My paste doesn't feel like it's in an oil base -- it feels more like water. I asked HandAmerican, but they never replied. So I went ahead and added some distilled water and shaking to dissolve the dried stuff. Looks good, but I haven't tried using it yet. We'll see...
