    Others have used it in the past and compared it to Linen.

    Personlly I think my linen strop is firmer than corduroy would be. Unless you doubled and glued it to itself with contact cement, or overlayed something else as a backing.

    A good candidate would probably be tin cloth or the brown duck material they call it now!
