    Default Red Imp 700C strop

Just acquired a Red Imp Strop off the bay earlier today, any opinions on the brand? Sorry for the blurry pic

Well, they certainly did some mighty fine razors, so the strop's probably ok, too. It looks fine to me, if it's flexible and smooth give it a good hand rub, strop and shave
EDIT: Eh, now I see that you just bought it today, so you may not have hold of it yet, lol! Looks ok to me, nevertheless.

Those are some of the best strops you will ever find period. I have a 700 and it's a horsehide and the thickest strop I have and have ever seen.

+1 when I was a kid I used to watch my old barber strop his razors on a red imp. I kept my eye out for one and finally got it a few years ago. It was Certifyd's top of the line IIRC.

Well all you guys, thanks for the reassurance! I can't wait till it gets here, I have been desperate for a good strop! I have an old horse hide strop that is full of nicks and is so worn I can't make out the manufacturer, possibly Illinois but its so hard to tell

These strops are an awesome example of strops from that era. I have had a couple and they have had excellent draw and produced really good results.

    Good find.
