    Default Will It Still Work?

I thought I would strop my razor having it hung from something as opposed to laying flat on a table. After a few passes I put a nick into it and by the end there were three or four. Luckily it's just a poor man strop so I'm not too bummed. Can you guys tell me if these nicks will affect how razor gets stropped or will I need to sand them out?

If you can feel it moving the razor over the nick, it is not good. If you don't feel it, it should no be a problem.
A little glue in the nick can close it right up. I use superglue. Remember to sand off any hard glue spots on the surface if you go down this route.

    Best of luck.

They are actually just small slits in the strop because I slightly pulled the razor in the opposite direction while turning it for the next pass. The razor goes over smoothly when stropping on that area but it's actually quite far at the end that I can avoid using that area completely.

Glad to see that I am not the only one that does this. I just avoid them.
