Thread: What pastes to use on a 4 sided paddle strop

As well as a two sided strop, the kit I bought from another forum contained a 4-sided thiers-issard paddle strop.

I'm trying to match the colours to appropriate pastes.

In sequence the strop colours go green, red, black and natural leather.

The black section looks to be the same Grade of leather as the leather on the reverse of my 2-sided theirs-Issard paddle strop.

I've had a look at various pastes and need a bit of help in matching them up to the sides of the strop.

Sounds like Dovo pastes. They sell green, red, black... and yellow and white. Yellow is for the leather, and white is for linin
