    Default Strop grips.

    Hey everyone.

So I was wondering what people thought about strop grips? Do you like to hold the end of the strop, do you prefer a tapered grip to be present on the end? Or do you just like to have a metal handle to pull on.

    Carl.

I prefer the D rings to the leather grips because it works easier with my arthritis.

Thanks for the input, I hadn't thought about it from that perspective.

My SRD's have handles, but I hold them by the bottom of the strop above the handles as if there were no handles or metal attachments. Also hold web, etc. and leather at the same time, just my preference.

A D ring pulls evenly across the strop.

I was used to the tried and true squared off end, and never thought I would change my opinion that it was best, but ended up getting the D-ring type, and the D-ring with leather handle attached. I use them all but I guess I have come to like the handles best.

Yes to D rings, hook my thumb and get nice even tension. I like the D rings on both sides loop a length of Paracord or leather lace to secure it to a hook or knob.
