heard good things about kangaroo strops, the leather itself is thin and strong, they make shoe laces out of it, and managed to pick up a whole hide locally, just waiting for it to arrive. Probably enough to make a few so if i nick it, i won't be too worried, but then again, if stropping doesn't do anything, why are we bothering? IMHO it does something, as my technique has gotten better, my edge "seems" better. Only 30 odd shaves in so i am no expert. Has anyone tried two identical razors, one stropped, one not, over a period of time? Would be an interesting experiment, even looking at them under a microscope may tell us more.
