Stropping, honing, shaving are all relaxing to me. I thinks its the conentration needed to do said task clears your mind of all the BS we have to put up with in todays modern society.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 16I enjoy stropping. I usually strop 50/100 on cotton/leather. From everything I read I probably reach maximum benefit to the blade doing just 30/60, but I do the extra laps because it is relaxing. I have 5 3" strops and using different strops also adds to the enjoyment.

Thanked: 220I find the whole process of shaving with a straight razor to be relaxing, from start to finish.

Thanked: 37I agree with the "clear your mind" factor, when the mind is not cleared, nicks and cuts can happen. Stropping I love, also reminds me of the old barbershop.
