Thread: SRD Magnetic Pads Question

I was wondering if a Felt pad meant for the SRD modular paddle would stick to any metal surface? I have a flat metal plate at home and was wondering if I could just purchase the felt pads and use my metal plate for the base.

I am sure someone will answer soon, but if it doesn't - I can't imagine that a cheap strip of magnet from Hobby Lobby wouldn't do the trick.

Thanks. I guess my real question is, For the modular paddle, is the paddle the magnetic part, or are the leathers and felts the magnetic parts?

If the pads are the ones with the magnet, and the paddle just has some type of metal on it, then there would be no reason the pads wouldnt stick to any metal surface.

Not trying to disuade anyone from buying the paddle, but i just looking for a sligthly cheaper option right now.

Both the pads and paddle have magnetic backing

Thank you. that is the response i was looking for. If it wont stick to the fridge it is unlikely it will stick to a DMT hone or smiliar flat metal plate.
