Thanked: 2Where's The Green?
Can anyone tell me where to purchase "Powered Chromium Oxide" .5 micron? All I can fine is the paste. Is this just as good on my strop for honing a fine finished edge on my razor?
Best Regards

You can find it on Amazon although the seller claims that it is 0.3 microns. I rather doubt that but even so.. close enough. It may seem a bit expensive but that one ounce container is enough for about two lifetimes.
I have great faith in fools - self confidence my friends call it.

The ever popular whippeddog sells a tablespoon or so of the powder for $3 shipped. It's the deal of the century because that's how long it will last. You really just use a tiny amount so it lasts forever.

Thanked: 16SRD sells a spray CrOx. It's a powder in some liquid medium that looks like water. It works well. I've used it on both the cotton component of a strop and on wool felt.

Amazon.com: 6 oz USA Green Rouge Polishing Buffing Compound - Steel, Aluminum, Chrome: Health & Personal Care
Does anybody have any experience with it? Maybe the OP could find some like this if it's good.
