    Default Strop Materials

    Hi guys,

    I'd like to have a go at making my own strop. The type that has a length of leather and a length of canvass. What would be the best type of leather and the best type of canvass, regardless of cost? And where would I buy the stuff along with the metalwork that is needed to make a strop?

    Well said pixelfield. The right strop material to use is all a matter of personal preference.
