    Default Maeshall Welss Zenith strop

Just got a nice small 2 inch X 14.5 inch strop Marshall Wells Zenith. The reason I bought it was that the leather stropping surface was thin and extremely smooth, almost felt like it was synthetic. It is much thinner than my one with bridle leather, the stropping side is dark brown and the unfinished side is red and quite smooth too. Nowhere does it say what type of leather it is. Would anyone here know? Thanks

OK, first apologies for the spastic spelling in the tile. I think I have found out what type of leather it is, shell cordovan. At least it seems to match what I am looking at and described.
