    Default Beginner Strop Question

    Hi Guys
    i just got my Whipped Dog poor man Strop setup
    The strop arrived rolled up witha rubber band
    my question is; Do I need to anything to prep the strop. Should i flatten it or just hang it up,or what?

    Just hang it up and use it. That worked for mine.

    It's small, but it'll put a nice edge on a razor.

    Roll it back on itself until it lays flat or over the edge of a table. Go slow across the leather until you learn it so that you don't dull your razor.

    Default Beginner Strop Question

    I laid mine out flat. It didn't take long to lose the little bit of curl it had to it.

    Also, read the instructions that came with it. He tells you exactly what to do with it.

    It's a great learner strop. I've got little nicks on mine that I caused in the beginning. Hopefully, after some more time spent stropping, I feel ready/safe enough to get a really nice one from SRD.

    Also when starting out take your time
    and go slowly. There is no need to hurry
    as speed will come with time and experience.
