    Default cleaning

    i think i put way to much diamond compound on my paddle strop,if so how do i get it off
    its actually worse than it looks in the pic

    you could try 98% acahol and scrape it off with the back of a knife or a green scotch bride pad good luck hope this helps

    Pretty much when you do that there isn't much you can do. You can try and wipe it of with a solvent but that could damage the strop. Always apply sparingly. Eventually it will wear off.

    WD40 and paper towel. Spray the towel not the strop. WD40 is mostly solvent. You will not get all off but you can get most off.

    When you re paste, paint a grid of 2 inch X's with your finger. Try thinning your paste with a couple of drops of water or alcohol in a small cup with dab of paste to the consistency of syrup.

    Let dry overnight before using

    Euclid440's recommendation on the application of the treatment is spot on! Not only does this get the treatment applied evenly, it really does keep the application to a minimum! Use less, save more, right? Also, depending on what kind of stropping medium you're using, it allows for a balance of the paste and material to work the blade.
