    I personally like having some sort of handle for a couple reasons. One of the biggest one is how I grip a non-handled strop, I make the leather wave. This makes it hard to strop! And It is a much more secure hold for me with a handle.

    ++1 with Parker.
    I turned my first non-handled RupRazor strop into a paddle strop. The SRD strops are the cats meow for the price & quality. I've never used a D-ring strop, but figure it would work just fine.

    Makes do diff to me,cut end or handle,Most quality(modern) cut strops are about 30 in. long.
    I;E my Pegasus,Never come close to area I hold in my left hand
    My shells at 22 in.I modified.
    But do not use hangers much anymore
