This is what it looked like after I was done with it. I figured since I was keeping the blade looking old I couldn't have the scales looking like new so I soaked them in neatsfoot oil then sanded and polished to a shine. After that I took a q-tip and some soapy water to draw out some of the oil to give it an aged looked. This is before I finished honing it. I am still trying to get used to the weight of it when shaving.
