Default First attempt at a paddle strop

My first attempt at making a Paddle Strop, used Honduran Rosewood for the handle, latigo for the smooth side and suede for the rough side, plan on adding a bit of brass to finalize it but other then that its ready to go. Any pointers/advise, good or bad is welcome.

Thanks for the kind words. It's a big paddle. Almost 3 1/2inches wide 18long. My next one will be a travel paddle 2 1/2wide and shorter. Needless to say I'm hooked
