Thanked: 177I have 2 hangers and 1 paddle. the paddle was a godsend as I rolled the edges on the hangers first two times. I use the hanger mostly but sometimes use the paddle. I haven't noticed a difference between the two in the feel of the shave. the paddle has bridle/latigo. I hit the latigo for 30 then 50 on the bridle. hope your strop comes soon.

Here is what my neighbour made me out of an old tool belt that he cleaned up with a wire brush wheel on a drill. The section I use to strop with is outlined in the box.

My strop also arrived a few weeks later than my razor. I resisted the urge not to use my razor at all, it was a blessing in disguise as I was able to really concentrate on getting my lathering down pat, which in turned helped my shaving a lot in the long run. Good luck, hope your strop is a beauty.

When I am traveling, or in a hurry, I will palm strop... The hand makes a great strop also.. And "no" I haven't cut myself yet.. You just hold your hand back with fingers extended and strop on the palm.. It is easier than it looks.

Thanked: 116Earcutter, a member here, as far as I recall, only shaves with 4/8 and below. Nothing wrong with that size blade at all.
I owned and sold a 3/8 TI supergnome and had no issue stropping the blade. It was an awesome shaver for me and the person who bought it is more than happy with it and has also never made mention of difficulty stropping.
Also, as wintchase explained, palm stropping is a great alternative and I have also never cut myself doing this.
